Full Bio

        Baoqi Zhao is violinist and orchestral performer from China. Her music always possesses passion and reason. She has performed in many places around the world. Her most noteworthy performance took place in the May Festival Concert with Tianjin Conservatory of Music Youth Symphony Orchestra around China. They played contemporary works including Antiphony written by Chen Yi, and The Rhyme of Taigu written by Zhou Long, at so on. The music received high commendations from the composers. She has also performed with Shanxi Province Symphony Orchestra in the 7th Jianli International Percussion Festival and The Night on the Winds Concert-Beethoven Series Symphony Orchestra at Shanxi Grand Theatre.

        Baoqi is committed to helping autistic children in music. She has participated with younger children to restore their energy. Lina Zhang, the professor of Shanxi University, remarked that “Baoqi is a well-rounded musician which in music processing and comprehensive qualities. She plays her own music carefully and she always shares her positive energy with people.”

        Born in Taiyuan, music lessons began when she was 5 years old. Baoqi Zhao studied at the Conservatory of Music in Tianjin at age 18. She currently attends master of music with Markus Placci at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
